Established in 1984 by outgoing President Nancy Nesbitt, EA, CSEA's Scholarship Fund awarded tens of thousands of dollars to worthy students to assist them with their education, particularly to promote the Enrolled Agent profession as a career choice.
Last year, CSEA awarded a total of more than $7,500 to 15 students; over the past seven years, CSEA has awarded approximately $115,000 to 262 deserving students.
Scholarship Awards are funded through the generosity of the Members of the California Society of Enrolled Agents and by sponsors, donors, and bidders of the Society’s annual Scholarship Auction. Through the establishment of the CSEA Education Foundation, contributions to this fund now are deductible for tax purposes.
CSEA Education Foundation
Because scholarships are no longer awarded by CSEA but by the CSEA Education Foundation, a separate entity, new applications, procedures, and a new timeline for the awarding of scholarships -- as well as new descriptions of who is eligible and for what education -- are being devised.
