Federal Advocacy Issues

The Government Relations Department at our national affiliate organization, NAEA, handles all the federal legislative efforts for CSEA. Currently, NAEA is focusing on four advocacy priorities:

  1. Return preparer oversight and minimum competency standards for return preparers
  2. Representation issues such as exam, collection, and appeals
  3. Tax stability and extenders
  4. IRS Future State.
